The Seagulls still smarting from their loss against Aberystwyth the previous week looked determined to gat their first points of the season and gained an impressive victory against a spirited Borderers team. Having to work hard early on they eventually began to run in tries at regular intervals. Whitland to their credit fought all the way and constantly managed to spoil and slow down the ball not allowing the Seagulls to settle into any pattern resulting overall in a scrappy display. This is an area the Seagulls will have to work hard on because with good quick ball they have the backs to cause any side real problems.
