The under 16s went in to there 3rd game of the season at home on the moor against a very strong tenby side we started the game absolutely dreadful we were 32pts down after 20 mins our worst possible start .but after some soul searching and some strong words from the coaches and the captain rob codd. we started to play some rugby with some good defending and good forward play we managed to hold tenby out till half time which gave us a chance to regroup and put a game plan together. we had picked up a couple of injuries in the first half with david timmins and jordan humpries going off. the second half kicked off with fishguard in possession and working hard. a huge improvement. fishguard were awarded a penalty for hands in the ruck with a cracking kick to the corner by jac evans it was fishguard s ball a 3 man lineout was called with jac evans standing at 9 the lineout moved back which left a huge hole for jac to crash through and over the line a move straight off the training ground we missed the conversion but we had started to play some decent stuff. tenby took the restart and put us deep in our 22 with the clearing kick not making touch the tenby backs ran the ball back and went over in the corner. fishguard picked up a yellow card for indiscipline that did nt help matters this gave tenby the upper hand they needed to turn the screw they ran in a couple more tries and put the game to bed final score fishguard 5 - tenby 50 the final score did nt really reflect the game though tenby were worthy winners fishguard with some key players out injured put a lot of effort in the second half but we ve got to learn we start playing from the first whistle to the last but all in all a steady second half performance keep at it boys and keep the numbers up in training and well get there see you all thursday in training
