U16's v Haverfordwest

Fishguard went in to there 2nd game of the season at home to haverfordwest on the grange with quite good spirits after a solid performance in our first game. we started well with some good pressure on the haverfordwest try line only for them to slow the ball down with hands in the ruck witch was well spotted by the ref which should have resulted in 3 pts only for steffan to push it just wide and that was to prove our only attack in the first half with haverfordwest running in 5 tries .we started the second half better after some stern words from the coaches at the interval and a better defence keeping the visitors out until the last 10mins when they ran in a couple of more tries final score 50 - 0
we were beaten by a better team on the day but fishguard know that there better than that. with a couple of boys out we did struggle against a dominant pack and the backs haveing no ball to work off. there were a couple of stand out performances though with George williams in the heart of everything with his ball carrying and tackle count and garath owen made an impact when he came off the bench so plenty to work on in training.

Our next game is on Sunday the 16th tenby at home down the moor ko@ 1:30pm come and support
