U11's v Pembroke
FISHGUARD & GOODWICK RFC 12 PEMBROKE 1
The Seagulls under 11's good run of form continued as they overwhelmed their Pembroke counterparts. They ruthlessly scored tries from great individual efforts and also good team support play. The main feature was the much improved handling particularly across the backline. Fishguard have pace aplenty across their backs but it was good to see the boys combining well putting each other into space and letting the ball do the work. The forward effort was also good with rucking and support play allowing captain for the day Adam Butler to dictate at scrum half. He moved the ball very well and combined this with some good sniping runs around the blinside. Fishguard set the pace which was frantic at times but credit to Pembroke , they never gave in and scored a well deserved try just after half time. Despite this being a real team performance special mention has to be made of fly half Emyr Davies who scored five tries for the second week running. A fantastic effort from a modest and quiet player. The coaches still haven't decided if fly half is his best position so opposition teams need to be wary when he finds it ! Next up Aberaeron.
