With the weather fine on Saturday 25th August 07 the Under 10’s attended the Llanelli Scarlets rugby festival. Originally arranged as a tournament but due to some not turning up a festival was held. Never the less a fine day was had by all
There were no winners or losers with the young Seagulls playing 3 games, drew 2, lost 1.
After their games the team was invited to watch the Scarlets in action playing against Bath Rugby.
In an emotional day at Stradey Park, Llanelli legend Ray Gravell led out his beloved Scarlets in their first home game of the season.
‘Grav’ has battled back bravely since losing a leg due to a diabetes-related illness and had the honour of kicking the match off. He would have been a happy man at halftime as the Scarlets led 14-7 at the break but his joy would have turned to disappointment when the final whistle had blown as the visitors had escaped with a 21-17 victory.
