FISHGUARD AND GOODWICK RFC

CONSTRUCTION OF NEW EXTENSION TO REAR OF EXISTING CLUB

The RFC committee have applied to PCC to build a separate extension at rear of the rugby club which has now been agreed by the Planning Department.

This week, Ian Macrae has been instructed by the committee to prepare a scheme of works to issue to prospective builders to progress the tendering process. This will be available as of Monday 6/6/16.

The tendering process will then take place between 6/6 and 16/6 (10 day process).

The committee will then meet immediately after this date to decide upon the most suitable tender.

There are a number of points that all potential builders NEED to be aware of :

1 - The build has to be completed by 31/8/2016 to secure the funding from the WRU. This also fits in line with the close season for the rugby as next season will be starting early September.

2 – The agreed timeline indicates that it is envisaged that the build will have to be commenced as of late June through to Wednesday  31st August 2016.

3- Based on the tight timescales and the draw down process from WRU, the club will have to monitor along with Ian Macrae how the build is progressing. Hence a DETAILED BREAKDOWN of work and costs (materials and labour) will be required in the tender for the various phases. This will ensure that the club complies with the WRU funding guidelines and ultimately ensures the securing of the full grant available from WRU.

The purpose of this e mail is to make you aware of this tendering process and to allow you sufficient time to make the necessary enquiries to establish your interest in this tendering process.

Attached to this e mail is the documentation already completed by Tom Kinver and PCC re authorities to assist you in this initial process prior to receiving the scheme of works from Ian Macrae.

If you require any further information prior to 6/6/16 , then please contact James Morgans / Lynne Harries.
